What a great restaurant! Nice atmosphere, very friendly staff, and the BEST burger I've ever had- I got the Brunch Burger. My husband had the muffuletta, and said it was the best he'd ever had as well. 10/10 recommend!

The waitress was new but she was very good to us. The whole crew was super nice, and the food was AMAZING. I got a burger, and my goodness, it beat the Canyon's burgers. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ❤️❤️😁

Can't believe Vintage 1889 has been here since 2012 and I am just now finding out about it. Food is excellent. I can recommend the Flatbread tomato pie, goat cheese pesto dip with pita, and Cuban sandwich. And they have beer! Small local family business. … More Friendly, helpful wait staff. (Special thanks to Danielle the cool bird rehabber.) This place is so interesting, they have bicycles hanging from the ceiling, and the front of a firetruck made into a window. (Yes kid-friendly.) Outdoor seating, in addition to quite a few tables with chairs inside. Good for families and groups. The restaurant is even attached to super cute Vintage 1889 antique shop with many booths full of collectibles. We will be back! Highly recommend.

While searching for mom and pop shops, we found this quaint restaurant which is attached to an antique mall in, what appears to be, an old brick factory. Their menu has a huge selection. I had the grown up grilled cheese with potato salad. The grilled … More cheese had a great variety of cheeses and onion on a, delicious, wheat berry toasted bread. The potato salad was delicious with bacon in the dressing/sauce. My hubby had a mushroom and Swiss burger, which came on a pretzel bun with kettle chips. All of the food was very good. There was only one waitress but she was very attentive and offered great service. Their decorations of antique and vintage items were very tasteful and interesting. We will definitely return.

My friend and I made a discovery today: if you're looking for antiques on a Wednesday, *don't* do all your research on Google, because not only are half the antique shops closed in the middle of the week, but so is all of Mentone, pretty much … More killing our nice planned lineup/our original lunch plans. We hauled back to Fort Payne and thankfully, these folks welcomed us for a crazy late lunch and never made us feel like an inconvenience. Thanks for being kind to two starved ladies who were willing to accept the dregs from the soup pot if that's all you said was available. Lunch was fantastic, by the way.

Love this place. Never expected a cool place like this in Ft Payne!!! Food was excellent and delicious!!! I should know as I ate there for lunch twice and dinner once. Every meal was excellent. I even enjoyed their beer and bourbon selections!!! … More
The locals sitting at the bar with me accepted me as a local and I had a blast! The staff introduced me to the owner and she was fabulous, super kind and even introduced me and my friends to other locals! Then I received a tour of their building which proves to have lots more to come to Ft Payne!
Overall, I’ll be back every time I’m back to our cabin in Mentone. Thanks much Steve and Lynn! Ft Payne should be proud that You have created something special!

We visited this small quaint restaurant while staying at Desoto State Park. The staff were amazing and food was very good. We tried the spinach artichoke dip, the veggie sandwich with gouda soup, and Flatbread. We are vegetarian and the food for us was … More very delicious. I would definitely recommend this place.

Everything from the food to the service was top notch here. The kids hot dog was fantastic, the chicken salad sandwich was amazing and the Cuban was delicious. Hope we get to swing by here again soon.

If you travel through the area and are looking for a very cool "local" experience, it doesn't get any better than this. The restaurant is part of a historic, once world renowned sock making factory that makes for some amazing atmosphere. … More The staff was friendly and the food was prompt and delicious. They encouraged us to look around and we saw some of the old machines that still had thread in them from the day they were turned off. All this and it was only lunch time. I can't wait to pass back through on a Friday or Saturday night and see a band or just socialize with the locals and sample their dinner menu.
